The Borough collects bulky items according to the following schedule:

  • Sector (1) First Friday of each month
  • Sector (2) First Tuesday of each month
  • Sector (3) First Monday of each month
  • Sector (4) First Thursday of each month 

You must dispose of your bulky items by placing them along the outer limits of your property (in the same location as household waste), after 8 p.m. the day before and before 7 a.m. on the day of the collection (maximum 10 bulky items per building).

Examples of what is accepted 
Cabinets, asphalt shingles, wood, electric household appliances, big cardboard boxes, gypsum, melamine, furniture, hardware items, plastic, doors, glass 

Examples of what is not accepted 
Car batteries, bricks, cement, tires, electronic products, rocks, televisions 

These unacceptable items may be brought to an ecocentre.

Safety measures 

  1. Don't forget to remove locks or doors of appliances like refrigerators and freezers as well as locks on luggage and other such items, before putting them out for the collection. 
  2. In the case of refrigerators, freezers, water coolers and air conditioners, you must contact the Citizens' Office to have them picked up as quickly as possible or bring them to an ecocentre.
  3. If something is infested with bedbugs, don't forget to place it in a plastic bag to prevent it from being picked up by other people and having the bedbugs spread while being transported. Mattress bags are available at the Citizens' Office. For more information on bedbugs
